VIBRAZIONI
A simple idea: make music visible.

SOUND
BECOMES MARK.
Vibrazioni is a sound-printing machine built around three metal extremities connected by guitar strings. Two speakers diffuse the sound and turn frequency into physical movement.
Ink placed on the strings transfers that movement onto paper. Every song, shift in rhythm and change in intensity leaves a different trace: a physical memory of sound rather than a recording of it.
FROM OBJECT
TO INSTRUMENT.
The installation was developed through direct prototyping: timber, metal profiles, strings, screws, speakers and paper assembled into one working system.
The roughness of the construction is part of the language. The machine does not hide its mechanism; vibration, tension and contact remain visible.

FREQUENCY →
VIBRATION → INK.
The speakers activate the strings. Their oscillation moves the ink across the sheet, translating amplitude, frequency and timbre into an unpredictable graphic gesture.
The result cannot be repeated exactly. Each print belongs to one specific instant of the musical performance.

THE SOUND BECOMES A SIGN.
THE VIBRATION BECOMES INK.
MUSIC STOPS BEING INVISIBLE.
A PHYSICAL
MEMORY.
During the event the instrument accompanied the musical journey, producing sheets that can be read in sequence as a visual narration of the night.
The final artefacts are not illustrations of music. They are direct impressions generated by the sound itself.
